ExxonMobil PNG's approach to workforce development involves creating local jobs and training Papua New Guineans in technical and professional skills. They will play a key role in running the PNG LNG facilities for decades to come.
Strengthening governance
A partnership with the Central Provincial Government Education Division and Esmie Sinapa Development Consultants and Services has resulted in the development of a Board of Management Training Manual which is used as a guide and training resource to improve school board governance and leadership performance.Infrastructure support
ExxonMobil PNG is focused on improving quality education in PNG and the support of local schools has been significant and wide ranging. New classrooms have been built, existing facilities have been refurbished and equipment such as desks and learning materials have been donated.Science ambassador program
ExxonMobil PNG’s Science Ambassador Program promotes the importance of science, technology, engineering and math to school students in Papua New Guinea and encourages them to consider a career in these fields by giving a practical insight into the fun and exciting experiences that these professionals enjoy every day.A word from the team
